Growing up in Mississippi, Flora, my mother and "Flo" of FloCo, taught me everything she knew about cooking. As I grew older, I frequently visited my favorite neighboring state, Louisiana, and fell in love with their spices and creole/cajun style. These dishes were delicious, but I soon discovered they weren't the healthiest ones. As I focused on eating healthier, I set aside my passion for cooking. After a while, I realized eating clean and healthy wasn't fun. I craved those delicious meals I grew up on. Through this health journey, I learned how to design delicious and nutritious meals.
